It’s time again to reserve your space(s) for the Annual Valley Springs Area Business Association’s Craft Faire. Scheduled for Saturday, December 6 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Vet’s Hall, 189 Pine Street in Valley Springs.

As a vendor, you know the popularity of this event. So, please

reserve now! Please return the your form (click here) with payment to the address listed as soon as possible to reserve your space(s)! Remember, space both inside and out is limited, and on a first come, first serve basis.

It's the time of year to nominate the 2008 Citizen of the Year!

At the August Board of Directors meeting it was decided that the ABA membership nominate the Citizen of the Year. And, since there are many members of the community who volunteer and do many things for our community and organizations, the Citizen of the Year does not have to be an ABA member. Presentation of the COY is during the annual Christmas Dinner/Dance, Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008.

Forms will be available at both the September and October luncheons. The top three nominees will be in your November newsletters with the ballots.

Nominees for the Board of Directors are also due by Wednesday, October 15. If you, or someone you know may be interested in serving the VSABA, their community and businesses by serving on the board, please give us their name. Directors must be VSABA members. All nominees for the board are talked with prior to including them on the November ballots. Directors serve a two year term.

Please plan to attend the September/October luncheons...if you have not reserved already for Sept. please call Ester at 786-2791!

This vision emerged from the commitment of The Valley Springs Area Business Association’s Visionary Council (VSABA-VC) who consists of residents, business owners, and property owners who reflect current community goals, needs, and desires for the future.

The VSABA-VC provides a community opportunity for input and discussion. Several VSABA-VC members presented information to and from other community groups, workshops, public events, and associations in the Valley Springs Area that have interest in the Calaveras General Plan update as it pertains to the business community.
